Agriculture and Food Security

The basis of household survival.

AREA OF WORK 05

Solutions communities can maintain.

For many Ugandan households, agriculture is not merely an economic sector; it is the basis of household survival. Yet small farmers often struggle with productivity, post-harvest losses, limited irrigation, poor-quality inputs, weak market access and inadequate processing. The Association creates practical partnerships that improve household and community food security, smallholder farming, poultry and livestock production, irrigation and water access, agricultural skills, access to improved inputs, post-harvest handling, agricultural machinery, farmer organisation and value addition.

Our emphasis is on solutions that communities can maintain rather than projects that disappear when external funding ends.
