A family should not suffer simply because basic care, medical equipment or specialist knowledge is unavailable.
The Association seeks to build partnerships between Chongqing and Uganda that can provide practical support where it is most needed — community medical outreaches and health screening, maternal and child health interventions, support for underserved health facilities, mobilisation of appropriate medical equipment and supplies, health education, specialist medical missions, and training and institutional partnerships between hospitals and medical universities in Uganda and Chongqing.
Our approach is not simply to donate equipment. Where equipment is provided, we consider installation, training, maintenance and whether the receiving facility can actually use it — that is the difference between donating something and solving a problem.
