Helping a child begin school — and remain there.
Education remains one of the most reliable ways of changing a child's future. The Association gives particular attention to children and young people whose education is threatened by poverty or difficult family circumstances.
Activities may include school fees and scholarship support, scholastic materials, support for school infrastructure, digital learning and computer access, improvement of libraries and learning spaces, vocational and technical education, mentorship and career guidance, and partnerships between schools and universities in Uganda and Chongqing.
Helping a child begin school but failing to consider whether they can remain there is not enough. Wherever possible, our interventions focus on continuity, performance and progression.
